Boys' Life Preview

Boys' Life magazine helps make your Scouting program and your Scouts excel. Research shows that boys who subscribe to the magazine advance farther, spend more time outdoors, and stay in Scouting longer than those who don't. There's something for everyone in Boys' Life. And everyone can receive the magazine every month.

Check out these exciting articles scheduled for publication in the March and April 2010 issues of Boys' Life.

Plant the Seeds

There are roughly 61 trees on this planet for every human. Between campfires, paper goods, and other uses of wood, our lifetime allotment of trees goes pretty fast. It’s time to start giving back, and the March issue can get your Boy Scouts started. They’ll learn how to plant trees in their community and earn the Forestry merit badge in the process.

BEND IT BETTER

Don’t let missed goals get you down. Practice. Enter a strange situation with confidence. Those life lessons are particularly relevant in the sport of soccer. If the future Beckhams in your unit want to ramp up their game, hand them the April issue. They’ll get a kick out of the insider tips from some of Major League Soccer’s top players. And it’s a great opportunity to connect these lessons to the Athletics merit badge.

Playing With a Full Deck

This was no cruise-ship vacation. The Scouts of Minnesota Troop 303 were kept hard at work during their weeklong Coral Reef Sailing adventure at the BSA’s Florida National High Adventure Sea Base. Still, they had plenty of time for play that included snorkeling at some great spots in Florida Bay. Boys’ Life pipes readers aboard to join the fun with its March issue.
