On the Threshold of Our 100th Anniversary Celebration

Well, after all the preparation and waiting, it’s show time!

This is a one-time opportunity for every one of us to embrace the magic and importance of all we have accomplished for America’s youth and, more importantly, the mission to preserve the integrity of Scouting programs going forward. This is about our future.

We can experience the value of our 100th Anniversary Celebration through the exciting programs that have been unfolding the past year to recognize all that we have achieved and all that we can accomplish in our next century:

BSA Alumni Connection — A central hub for Scouting alumni to help them stay connected with Scouting at bsaalumni.org.

National Hall of Leadership — Recognize outstanding leadership by a Scout, registered Scout leader, or Scouting volunteer by submitting a story nomination online at scouting.org/100years.

Generations Connection — Working in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, offers a look at Scouting’s family tree by celebrating ways that Scouting strengthens families and nurtures important bonds.

Get in the Game! — Uses geocaching to reach out to today’s tech-savvy kids with fun membership recruitment and unit activities.

A Year of Celebration, A Century of Making a Difference—Awards exploring core Scouting values as we celebrate a century of living by the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Adventure Base 100 — An interactive tour that will travel the country giving visitors an exciting and inspiring view of the history and future of the BSA.

A Shining Light Across America — A single, nationwide event bringing the entire Scouting family together to celebrate and reflect.

Pitch for Scouting — Celebrating with Major League Baseball to bring the Scouting message to stadiums across America.

Savor the moment. Make our 100th Anniversary Celebration the body and soul of how you create meaningful programs for the youth we serve
