  1. Scouts don’t have much use for a corkscrew. A better model Swiss Army knife is the Tinker, swaps a Phillips Screwdriver for the corkscrew, much more practical.

  2. Both variants of this Swiss Army knife ( Spartan and Tinker) are excellent tools and an excellent value at $28. I carry a Tinker knife everywhere since I use the Phillips screwdriver feature a bit, and keep a Spartan knife in my mess kit since I always forget to bring a corkscrew when camping with my significant other, and need to open a bottle of wine to make stews.

  3. Serrated blades are the worse thing to give someone I have seen more injuries with serrated blades. Serrated blades are cheap to manufacture cannot be effectively resharpened in the field. Don’t waste your money buying one.
